Our Approach

Ochre Creative is an artist services agency based in Narrm (Melbourne), representing a carefully selected group of First Nations artists, from emerging voices through to established practitioners whose work we deeply respect and support.

Our artists are connected by lived experience and cultural strength. Their practice is shaped by resilience, survival, and continuity of culture. From that truth comes work that is honest, powerful, and grounded in ongoing connection to Country and community.

We exist to build meaningful pathways between our artists and the clients, communities, and institutions that engage with their work in a respectful and considered way.

A cultural authority in everything we do.

At the heart of Ochre Creative is our Cultural Director, Brodie Peters-Godden, a proud Nari-Nari / Wemba-Wemba artist whose contemporary practice explores identity, resilience, and connection to Country through expressive visual storytelling.

Brodie  brings not only creative vision but lived cultural authority to everything we do. Beyond his studio practice, he is an active cultural voice. Leading smoking ceremonies, Acknowledgements of Country, cultural talks, Q&As, and panel discussions across schools, corporate events, podcasts, and media.

His profile continues to grow reflecting the reach and resonance of his work both on and off the canvas. His recent large-scale mural project with the Melbourne Museum further speaks to the calibre of practice and purpose that defines our entire roster.

Sharing what we know

Rounding out the Ochre Creative team are George Ironside, Arts Manager, and Krystal Schultheiss, Marketing Manager. Both bring deep experience in arts and media, along with a genuine commitment to championing First Nations artists and culture.

By channelling their expertise, they endeavour to amplify these voices and ensure their work reaches the audiences it deserves.
