Alisha Fagan

Wadawurrung

Alisha Fagan is a proud Wadawurrung woman, artist, and master weaver from Geelong whose practice is grounded in culture, storytelling, and community connection. Through painting, weaving, and contemporary cultural design, Alisha creates works that reflect identity, healing, strength, and connection to Country. Inspired by the teachings of her grandfather and Elders, her work combines traditional cultural knowledge with contemporary expression, creating spaces for learning, conversation, and cultural pride.

Alongside her independent practice and business WarriBagurrk, Alisha has continued to build strong partnerships across Victoria through community arts, cultural workshops, and advocacy work. She has worked closely with the Geelong Cats on ongoing cultural projects and community engagement initiatives, while also completing a major commission for Reece. Through both her art and activism, Alisha is passionate about empowering Aboriginal voices, strengthening cultural connection, and creating opportunities for future generations of First Peoples artists and young people.
